Apart from teaching, Mrs. Hahn served as a delegate to the 2016 Democratic National Convention. She also serves as both a District and State Committee member for the Columbia County Party. She has been an active participant in local political and social efforts, volunteering many hours to support and grow the Democratic Party in Columbia County.
Mrs. Hahn is committed to the values and philosophies of the Democratic Party. Above all, she seeks to inform, educate and inspire new and seasoned Democrats in Columbia County. It is her firm belief that intelligent discussion and debate make us stronger as a People at the local, state, and national levels. Most importantly, however, she knows that the most meaningful conversations take place at home. So, she strives to foster a familial atmosphere where civil discourse, mutual respect, and critical thinking are welcomed and expected.
Mrs. Hahn lives in Evans with her husband, Steve, and her five children – Aidan, Abby, Katherine, Michael, and Liam, two dogs – River and Rose, and two cats – Leila and Theodore. When she is not teaching or coaching, she also enjoys singing on her church worship team, reading, exercising, and making frequent trips to Starbucks. As the Chair of the Columbia County Democratic Party, Mrs. Hahn hopes to encourage and promote local Democratic candidates to run for office or simply become more involved. She looks forward to reaching out to all Democrats to make positive changes and “do the most good” in the local community. |
